Terms of Service
Last updated:
1. The service
Shorty is a URL-shortening service: we take a long URL you provide, give it back a short link, and redirect visitors of the short link to your destination. We also offer link analytics, QR codes, and related tools.
2. Accepting these terms
By accessing or using Shorty, you agree to these Terms of Service and to our Privacy Policy and Acceptable Use Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the service.
3. Your responsibilities
You are responsible for the content you shorten and share, including its destination, and for your account credentials. You must not:
- Use the service for any illegal, malicious, abusive, or fraudulent activity.
- Shorten links that distribute malware, phishing, credential-harvesting pages, scams, or spam.
- Impersonate others, infringe rights of others, or attempt to intercept or harm other users.
- Attempt to bypass security, rate limits, or abuse-controls we operate.
- Reverse engineer the service or extract data at unreasonable scale.
4. What we may do
We may review links and accounts to keep the service safe. We may disable or remove any short URL that we reasonably believe is malicious, illegal, abusive, or in breach of these terms, and we may suspend or terminate accounts that violate them. We are not required to notify you before doing so.
5. Availability & liability
The service is provided “as is” and “as available”. We do not guarantee uninterrupted availability. To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, loss of data, loss of profits, or any harm caused by a destination you reach through a short link, including links created by third parties.
6. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms from time to time. The latest version is always available on this page, with its date above. Continued use after changes means you accept the updated terms.
